American Icons marks Budweiser’s 150th anniversary by pairing a Clydesdale with a baby bald eagle in a story set to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird.” Directed by Henry Alex Rubin, the Super Bowl LX film follows the two animals as they grow up together.
Tied to Budweiser’s “Made of America” platform, the film celebrates the people, culture, and craftsmanship behind the brand, continuing Budweiser’s long-running tradition of using the Clydesdales as a symbol of American heritage, while reinforcing its position as a core legacy brand within AB InBev.
The campaign took the #1 on USA Today’s Ad Meter for the 10th year.
